Hydro One recognized as one of Canada's Best Employers for the ninth consecutive year

TORONTO, January 26, 2024 – For the ninth year in a row, Forbes has recognized Hydro One on their annual list of Canada’s Best Employers for 2024. The ranking is determined by recommendations made by employees and other professionals who recommend Hydro One as a desirable employer.

“Receiving recognition as one of Canada’s Best Employers is a testament to our continued success in building a safe workplace where our team feels heard, valued and has a true sense of belonging,” said Megan Telford, Executive Vice President, Strategy, Energy Transition and Human Resources. “We’re proud of the Hydro One team and our collective commitment to provide an exceptional customer experience and energize life where we live, work and play.”

Hydro One delivers electricity to nearly 1.5 million people across Ontario. It is the province’s largest electricity transmission and distribution service provider. The company is diverse and made up of some of the best and brightest professionals and skilled workers – from engineers and project managers to customer service specialists and human resources professionals. Forbes and Statista selected Canada's Best Employers 2024 based on independent surveys of over 40,000 employees working for companies employing at least 500 people in Canada. The evaluation was based on direct and indirect recommendations from employees that were asked to gauge their overall willingness to evaluate their employer to family and friends. Employees were also given the chance to evaluate other employers in their respective industries. Furthermore, employees were asked to give their opinion on a series of work-related topics like working conditions, salary potential for development, and company image regarding their current employer.
