TORONTO, May 6, 2019 – Hydro One Telecom Inc. (Hydro One Telecom) today announced that it has expanded its data solutions to include six new services that will provide customers with easy data scaling and secure storage. These new services complement the company’s province-wide fibre-optic network and provide customers with a suite of telecommunication solutions for their connectivity and data management needs.
“We understand that data storage, security, transit, access and compliance are critical for business success and that cost and complexity shouldn’t be barriers,” said John Papadakis, Acting President and CEO, Hydro One Telecom. “Our goal is to be the trusted partner for companies who may be struggling with their data management strategies. By expanding our services, we will continue to meet their growing needs in a cost effective way.”
Hydro One Telecom’s network provides high-speed data networking services that are secure, diverse, reliable and scalable. In 2017, the company launched a cloud-based Backup as a Service (BaaS) solution providing customers with off-premise and simplified backup and recovery of data. By expanding the BaaS offering with new services and adding Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) including Virtual Data Centres and Private Cloud, Hydro One Telecom now provides a full suite of cloud services, data backup tools and secure data storage options for its customers to choose from.
